A male escort listing is a specification and about a hundred words of text, and almost every profile on every directory gets the hundred words wrong in the same way: superlatives, no detail, and a tone that could belong to anybody. These eight examples are written the way the good ones read, with a note under each explaining what the choices are doing.
They are worth reading from either side. For a man building a listing they are a model. For someone thinking about a booking they show what a profile can reasonably be expected to tell them, and what it cannot.

What every strong profile has
- A specific detail in the first line that could not belong to anyone else. A job, a place, a habit.
- A description of what an evening is like, rather than a list of qualities the escort believes he has.
- One line of reassurance, and only one.
- Availability and geography stated plainly, so that the wrong enquiries never start.
- A rate consistent with everything else on the page.
- Around a hundred words. Every one of the examples above is under a hundred and eighty, and the shortest is the sharpest.
